Innovative Project Solutions (IPS) provided design-build services for the installation of a new hydrofluoric (HF) acid wastewater system.

These services included:

• Design and construction of the new HF replacement.
• Coordination with client and vendors to design the new HF acid wastewater system.
• Complete design-build services for architectural, civil, structural, process, mechanical, and piping for the project.
• In two phases, the (1) demolition of the existing HF system and (2) installation of the new HF System.
• Construction of a temporary HF system upstream to allow the shutdown of the existing system.
• Design of process flow diagrams and P&ID for the Continuous Fluoride Removal HF System, in collaboration with our vendors. Fluoride concentrations range more than 5,000 ppm in rinse waters, but discharge limits are often below 20 ppm.
• Calcium Hydroxide solution with heavy duty industrial grade filter press and fully automated PLC.
• Construction management and installation of the system as the design-build contractor.
